Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The PDF engine runs inside your browser using WebAssembly. Your document is opened from your own disk, processed in memory and saved back to your disk. Nothing is transmitted to us.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no account, no trial, no watermark and no page limit. The site is supported by advertising, which is why you may see ad slots around the editor.
Does it work on a phone or tablet?
Yes, it runs in any modern browser on desktop and mobile. For heavy documents a computer is still more comfortable.
Can I use it offline?
After the first visit the editor is cached by your browser, so it usually keeps working with no connection. Adding it to your home screen makes that more reliable.
Which PDF features are supported?
Reading, merging, splitting, page organization, annotations and comments, form filling, signatures, redaction and text editing on many documents. Encrypted PDFs need their password to be opened.
Do you keep my documents?
We cannot: we never receive them. There is no server-side storage for user files at all.
